ABOUT

Helena has been designated by arts and travel author John Villani (among others) as “one of the best little art towns in America,” and for good reason. From the Archie Bray Foundation to the Holter Museum, the Myrna Loy, Grandstreet Theatre, and the Helena Symphony, the arts are woven into the life of this capital city. The Helena Classical Music Festival adds a new thread to that fabric — one that brings world-class musicians out of the concert hall and into the cafes, restaurants, and breweries where Helenans already gather.

This summer on August 22nd, audiences can stroll downtown and follow the music from one venue to the next — a string quartet over morning coffee, arias with an afternoon pint, and a lively finale to close the day. It is classical music made approachable, family-friendly, and unmistakably Helena. Our aim is simple: to strengthen Helena’s standing as a community where the arts thrive, and to give both longtime music lovers and curious newcomers a reason to fall for this music all over again.
